PR's:
1500m - 4:02 3k - 8:47 5k - 14:52 8k - 24:35 10k - 31:41 |
Adam began his running career at the age of 6, when his father told him that, if he could run 3 miles consecutively, he would enter him in a local 5k, which finished inside the Tennessee Titans stadium. Adam completed the challenge, and finished the race in just over half an hour. Two weeks later, Adam improved his 5k PR by 10 minutes.
Adam continued to lower his PRs (although not at the same trajectory), and ran collegiately at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. After spending his underclassman years battling injury and illness, Adam finally broke through in his senior year: breaking the 15-minute barrier in the 5K, earning NCAA Division III All-South/Southeast Region in both track and cross country, and helping lead his team to a program-record finish at the NCAA DIII XC Championships. Adam hopes to capitalize on having uninterrupted training with GRC and chase the 14:30 and 30:30 barriers in the 5k and 10k before moving up to the longer distances. Adam is a graduate student the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University studying Data Science for Public Policy. |
