Amy Laskowske
Amy started running at a young age after quickly realizing that her athletic abilities consisted solely of running in a relatively straight line for an extended period of time. After a successful high school track and cross country career, she ran for the University of Minnesota, where she was a member of five Big Ten cross country and track champion teams, and was All-American in the 10,000 meters in 2009. After taking a few years away from competitive running following graduation, Amy's world class 1500 meter runner roommate inspired her to get involved in DC's running community. Amy joined GRC in 2016 and is excited to take on the uncharted territory of road racing with goals to set new PRs in distances ranging from the 5k to the half-marathon. Amy currently works for an executive search firm in DC. |
