Dave Burnham
A 10k specialist in Dartmouth University, he is moving up to the half and full marathon. "As long as I never have to run another indoor track 5k, I will be happy," says Dave. In his marathon debut, he cruised to a 2:45 and will look to improve on that in 2011. Dave lives in Virginia and enjoys working on his truck in his spare time.
Dave Burnham had a stellar career at Dartmouth, where he ran his outstanding PRs of 14:14 for 5,000 meters, 29:41 for 10,000 meters, and 24:47 for cross country at Van Cortland Park. Dave was All-Ivy League in cross country and track, and was also first team Academic All-Ivy League while carrying an extremely heavy course load as an Engineering major. Dave took some time away from competitive running while earning his master degree at the University of Texas, but he is now back into serious training. While Dave is the first to say that he may never better his lofty track PRs, he has a great future in the half marathon and marathon.
