John Prizzi
John started running his senior year of high school, with eight years of tuba playing and three years of unicycle riding to his credit. During his four years at the University of New Hampshire John was pigeon-holed as the designated steeplechaser because everyone else got hurt. John made the most of the experience by becoming a two-time All-American in the steeple, and winning 6 individual America East Conference titles. After graduating in 2015, John took two years off while in graduate school in British Columbia. John moved back to Boston in 2017 where he was voted most likely to "be carrying breakfast foods on my person at any given time" while running for New Balance Boston. John moved to Northern Virginia in the summer of 2019 to begin a new job in Agricultural Planning and Watershed Restoration with the Fauquier County Government. With GRC, John hopes to lower his half-marathon time, dabble in a 10 miler or two, and continue putting off running a marathon for as long as feasibly possible.
