Julie Tarallo
Growing up with two older brothers, Julie worked hard to keep up with the boys from an early age and participated in a variety of team sports. However, with her small stature, it was clear Julie would not be making the high school basketball team, and her father encouraged her to leverage her endurance by going out for the cross country team. Julie completed four successful years on the cross country and track teams in high school, and went on to compete for Colgate University's cross country and track teams. While at Colgate, Julie dramatically improved her performances, earning All-Patriot League honors four times and capturing the Patriot League Championship in the 10,000 meters in 2009. She also captained the Colgate women's cross country and track teams her senior year and led the cross country team to the school's first ever Patriot League Championship. Since joining GRC, she has set PRs at distances from 10 miles to the marathon, including notching a personal best at the California International Marathon in 2:51:55 in 2014. When not racing for GRC, Julie can be found running around the halls of the U.S. Senate working as Communications Director for Senator John McCain.
