Sara Patterson
Even though Sara joined the middle school cross country team in 5th grade, it was not until her junior year of high school that she focused solely on running. Sara had a major breakthrough in her senior year at Dickinson, becoming an All-American in cross country and outdoor track, where she placed 4th in the 10,000, set 5 school records, 2 Centennial conference records, and won the conference championships in the 3000 and 5000 indoors, and 5000 and 10,000 outdoors. Sara hopes to improve her track PRs with GRC. She works at NIH in the Neural Circuits Unit of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes (NINDS) studying retinal physiology and color vision in zebrafish.
