When Kat was 2 years old, she ran around a track for the first time and was hooked ever since. She ran her first 5k when she was 5 (coincidentally in a Washington, DC t-shirt) and placed first in her age group. She joined her middle school track and cross country teams in 6th grade after doing the occasional community races and has spent every season after that competing for the schools she attended. Racing collegiately in Canada, she decided to do a Master’s in Political Science mostly because she wanted another year with her team. She ended up having the best cross country and track seasons of her life that year. She is very excited for her transition to longer road races and one day racing Boston! Currently, she is a finance associate at Angerholzer Broz Consulting, a consulting firm that fundraises for Congresspeople.
