
Alahna’s parents put her in track at 5 years old after people saw how fast she was while playing soccer for the YMCA. She went on to be a a youth AAU and USATF junior Olympic All-American in 400m, 4x100m, 4x400m and 4x800m. In high school, she led St. John’s College high school to their first and second WCAC championship in school history as meet MVP. By her senior year, she ran one of the fastest 800s for a high school girl in DC at 2:08 and became New Balance Nationals indoor emerging elite champion in 800m. At University of Virginia, she briefly held 800m indoor school record at 2:05 and was a 2x NCAA All-American in DMR (800 and 400 leg). Now she would like to continue improving her times, running at competitive meets and having fun in the sport.
