Campbell Ross

Campbell was born in the Georgetown hospital, so you could say he was born to run for GRC. He had success as a middle and high school runner at the Potomac School in McLean, VA before taking a hiatus from running during his undergraduate years at the University of Virginia. He began running again after college and quickly gravitated towards the marathon, although he did once bring home a blue ribbon from a 1st place finish in his age group in the 200m dash at a local community summer track meet. In 2022 and 2023, Campbell went searching for greener pastures and spent a year living in the mountains of Boulder, CO and then six months in the even bigger mountains of Kenya’s rift valley. While he did find many green pastures to run through, he ultimately realized that there’s no place like home. He returned to DC in 2024 where he now works as a Bioinformatician while still managing upwards of 20 bananas per week in training. With GRC, he would like to continue to lower his PR’s while enjoying the ride.
