Dylan Hernandez

Dylan grew up in Wichita, Kansas attempting to follow in the footsteps of fellow Kansans Jim Ryun and Billy Mills, but even though he was a member of the 2011 Kansas 3A state champion cross country team he did not initially find individual success. After high school, Dylan left the Great Plains to attend the University of Maryland where he ran on the university’s club team. Sidelined often due to chronic injury, he primarily acted as club coach until he moved on to pursue his M.S. in Biotechnology degree at Georgetown University where he also ran on the club team.

Since joining GRC, Dylan has significantly reduced his personal bests and has competed as part of the elite field at the 15km, 20km, and 25km USATF Championships. By day, he works in regulatory affairs for a biotech company developing anti-seizure medication.
