Sophie Galleher

Sophie lucked her way onto a national championship cross country team after convincing the coach at Amherst College that people from Colorado have some sort of inherent altitude advantage. Fortunately, Sophie soon discovered that running faster does actually make you faster, and by her senior year she captained Amherst’s cross country team to D-III nationals after winning the NESCAC All-Conference Most Outstanding Performer Award. Despite being from Colorado, Sophie is adamantly lukewarm about trail running and instead enjoys running endless loops around the Washington Monument (per her Strava).  Sophie is thrilled to train with GRC and has her sights set on PRs in the beer mile and the marathon. Sophie is an attorney in private practice in DC
